The long awaited Rezum treatment for the prostate enlargement is going to be offered to private patients in Teesside possibly from April 2019.
Rezūm is a minimally invasive treatment that can be done as a day case. Rezūm uses the stored thermal energy in water vapour (steam) to treat the extra prostate tissue that is causing symptoms such as frequency, urgency, irregular flow, weak stream, straining and getting up at night to urinate.
